User ManualA waffle baker, grill, and griddle, this three-in-one appliance comes in handy during breakfast, lunch, dinner, and after school. Key to the unit’s versatility are two 8-inch-square cooking plates–one set into the product’s bottom and the other into the hinged top. On one side the plates form grids for making four waffles at once. Flipped over to show their flat sides they’re capable of top and bottom grilling a sandwich or steak. To create griddle space, the top opens up flat, forming two 8-inch-square cooking surfaces for all foods that love a griddle–such as pancakes, hash browns, and eggs. Channels send grease to spouts in the griddles’ corners, where it drains away. Nonstick to release food easily and wipe clean, the cooking plates also can be removed for scrubbing. A heat control offers high, low, and medium temperatures. With its chrome housing and stay-cool black synthetic handles, this 900-watt appliance looks great on the counter. Afterward, the cord wraps around the hinge, plus you can stand the unit upright for compact storage. It measures 11-1/4 inches wide, 5 inches high, and 11-3/4 inches deep and carries a one-year warranty against defects. –Fred Brack

Masterbuilt Electric Smoker
So I bought an Electric Masterbuilt Smoker like I mentioned in my last garden video. This is the first day i had it and and showing the basics of what is included in the smoker. I also am seasoning the smoker which you have to do before the first time you smoke anything. I’m pretty excited about the smoker and will probably

lmao. no clue. try making him a sandwich.
My suggestion is check if its plugged in. Since electric grills are contact cookers using a working outlet and cord should be all that is needed to cook the ribs.
just hold that button in
What a catch you are. Trying to light an electrical appliance with matches. Try turning the nobs at the front to get it to work, it`s not a gas stove. hope you boiled those ribs before you try and cook them for him. poor guy
I got mine 3 years ago… no problems so far. I do mostly baby backs with dry rub – super smokers style. It’ll never look so nice again! To quickly preheat the unit put boiling water in the oval pan. I microwave my soaked smoking chips (applewood) for a couple minutes before loading in the chute so they start smoking fast. Also, it helps to remove the burnt out chips between charges. Thanks for the vid.
Have this same smoker. The heating did fail but Masterbuilt sent me another case to replace. Just a case. Have to use doors, racks, chip and ash pan from the other. I have had some great eats but had the failure about 7 mths. into it’s use. I keep mine inside my shop next to the window. That way I can put a fan in the window to draw out the smoke. Hope you enjoy this smoker. Great price 100 bucks off.
Thanks, I’ve also noticed the good do outweigh the bad reviews, so i’ll probably go with this model.
When I first looked into this smoker I saw some review mentioning the dependability and how sometimes the heating element croaks or the latch keeping the door closed breaks
To date (which is only about 2 months) this smoker works awesome, no problems. Even though I saw some negative reviews the good ones far outweighed the bad. Also with some of the reviews that said the heating element broke the people were able to call Masterbuilt and they had great customer service and got replacements easy.
I’ve heard this is a good smoker, but reviews seem to suggest it isn’t very dependable (tends to break). Please keep us informed, I’m trying to decide between this one and a more expensive model.
It takes anywhere from 1hr to 1.5hrs per pound. The key is to check the temperature to see when it is done. For pulled pork you want to shoot for 190ish.
how long would you do a 9lb. butt? do you mix your apple cider/juice with apple vinegar? thanks.
I leave it up. Helps keep it moist.
when smoking the pork butt, do you put the fat side up or down in the pan? please advise. thank you.
Cool. If you post any videos let me know.
I have a Masterbuilt Electric Smokehouse too and have been experimenting. Thanks for the videos!
There were 5 or six flashlights and they actually came with all the batteries which made spending $10 and awesome deal. They take 3 AAA’s each so it came with 15 batteries!
Ya I read the instructions last night and am glad I did because I wasn’t aware that you have to pre season it.
I’m going to start smoking today and will have a step by step video on my first attempt at smoking. If you post any videos or have suggestion please let me know. Thanks!
I looked at about 50 different recipes and websites for cooking times and temps. Most of them recommended cooking at 225 for about 1 hr to 1hr 15 mins per pound.
It may take longer, but the main thing is to watch for internal meat temp when it is done. I’ve read for brisket and pork shoulder you need to get them around 180-185 then pull them and wrap in aluminum for another hour or so.
I’m about to start a video up on the process of smoking the meat today. Hope you have fun with yours too.
I got mine yesterday at Bass Pro as well. Where are you finding temp and time for meats? I found recipies but not temps and times…..
Nice video- i got this at Bass Pro this morning also. i’m a total novice so i’m looking forward to your future videos so i can figure out how to work it!!
Cool. Hope hope the electricity stays on and I saw the flashlights. How may batteries and what kind?
