I have an indoor electric grill that sits on the counter top while I cook on it. Is is alright to put it in the dishwasher?
It was given to me, no manual. It says nothing about submersion in water on it.

check the owner’s manual and/or any labels on the grill. if it says that it’s dishwasher safe, go ahead, but i would imagine it probably says something along the lines of ‘do not immerse’ which would mean no dishwasher for you.

Probably not. Even if all the water dried out before using it again, there are parts inside that may deteriorate in water and cause an electrical short.
I would never put anything electric in the dishwasher.
If you need to clean it, wipe it clean with hot soapy water then wipe with wet wash cloth until soap is removed and dry real good.
