5 Reasons For Using An Indoor Electric Grill
Electric Grills
Having an indoor electric grill has made mealtime for our family, as well as countless others, so much easier. It all started with the George Foreman grill several years ago, and has now come to the point where many brands and models rival their outdoor counterparts. That said, if you are still on the fence in deciding whether one of these grills are for you, here are 5 good reasons for getting one.
1. Low Cost Appliance
One very big benefit with electric grills is how low the costs are for one. A very basic model can be found for less than , while others will range from there on up to 0 for a very nice Breville Smart Grill. So, finding one to fit even the tightest of budgets is not going to be an issue.
2. Simple To Use
Anyone who has ever cooked on one of these grills will all tell you how simple and easy they are to operate. There’s no big learning curve or hassle. Your teenagers can safely cook their own food on one as well. Even better is the fact that you won’t have fire flaring up like you do in many cases with your outdoor barbeque grill.
3. Quick Cooking Times
Let’s face it, when you leave the office after a long stressful day, cooking a big family meal is about the last thing on your mind. Having to stand in the kitchen and spend an hour or more preparing and cooking dinner is not a lot of fun for most people.
Using an indoor grill eliminates this completely. Cooking up your favorites foods like hamburgers, chicken, steak, fish and more, takes only a few minutes… not hours. You can quickly have dinner ready in as little as 15 minutes.
4. Easy Clean Up
It’s one thing to be able to cook a meal in as little as 10 – 15 minutes, but what happens after dinner is over and it’s time to clean up? How much hassle is it to clean an electric grill? The good news here is that it is as simple as you could imagine.
Most all models allow you to pop off the grill plates and clean the non-stick surfaces with a sponge and soapy water. Or, put them in your dishwasher and you are done. The only other thing you might need to do is simply wipe off the counter. They really are easy to clean, and that is something our family loves.
5. Requires Little Counter Space
Another thing you will find nice is that these grills take up very little counter space. Hey, for many homes with precious little counter room, this is a big deal. We leave ours sitting out on the countertop, but they can easily be stored in one of your cabinets.
Whether it is at home for the busy family or in the apartment for a single person, you will find an electric indoor grill to be fun and easy to use.

With my fans, it is quite easy to remove the grills and wash them. A damp cloth over the blades will clean them too. Just make sure everything’s quite dry before you switch on again.

Electric Grills
One of the many things I love in this life is grilling outdoors. Music playing, a glass of wine, a nice breeze, plenty of light left in the day … you get the picture. When I did the cooking for this particular column it was WAY below freezing and the wind was enough to blow me and the grill…

two words magic eraser this is a mr clean product i cant live without!! just wet squeese and clean.
no cleaner necessary! however i do use straight vinigar to make my self better .
Take about apart the grills from the fan blades and use either Fantastik/409 or soapy dishwashing solution. Both fight grease and will easily cleanup any grime you might have, the dishwashing liquid is a more green solution. Be sure to dry each part well before reassembly.
Grease is removed with soap. Just get a simple basic soap. Put down some newpapers and spray soapy water over the fan and let the mess drip onto the papers.
Vinegar will not remove grease.
Fantastic is about sanitzation and is unnecessary and expensive.
WD40 Shifts nigh on everything
Remember that particularly with gooey/sticky residues…
I agree about using a straight-forward soap for the blades. (I like Mrs. Meyer’s spray soaps.) For the grille, I’d be tempted to lay it in the upper rack of my dishwasher on a short cycle, air dry.
I take ours apart and clean them. I start with the dust brush on the sweeper and get as much off with that as I can. Then I disassemble the fan (even the blades come off) and wash those in hot soapy water. Let dry completely. You can take a damp cloth and wipe down the part that houses the motor. Then reassemble. There is no easy, quick fix way to get these buggers clean.
